Visual Plans and the Extra Layout Designer
QuiltMath 1.5.0 is rolling out to Google Play Closed testing, with visual guidance across the full calculator set and a new joined quilt-layout workflow.

Visual Plans across every calculator
The original Binding experiment grew into lightweight offline guides for the complete calculator set. Each guide connects entered measurements to the relevant quilt pieces, keeps labels clear of the artwork, and can be printed or shared as a focused one-page PDF.
New in Extra
The Extra Quilt Layout Designer combines a uniform block grid with optional sashing and border rings. Its live preview feeds the same tested Sashing, Border, Backing and Binding calculations used elsewhere in QuiltMath, then saves the plan and includes it in the combined PDF.
- Set rows, columns and finished block size.
- Switch sashing and borders on or off and see the layout update immediately.
- Keep the assumptions and result chain visible instead of hiding the maths.
- Work offline in inches or centimetres, with no account, ads or analytics.
Not a replacement for the pattern
The designer plans a uniform layout; it does not estimate pattern-specific block-piecing fabric or replace a sewing pattern. Directional prints, repeats, fussy cutting and pattern-specific safety margins still require the quilter's judgement.
