QuiltMath and KnitMath for Android

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android applications published by Broken Man Studios, currently QuiltMath (quilting calculator) and KnitMath (knitting & crochet calculator). The two Android applications covered here follow the data practices described below. If a future app or version changes these practices, that app's Google Play listing will link to an updated or app-specific policy instead of this one — see "Changes" below.

Data collection

Broken Man Studios apps perform their calculations on the user's device. They do not require an account, and Broken Man Studios does not collect, sell, or share personal data through developer-controlled servers. The only off-device processing used by these applications is Google Play Billing, as described below.

Values entered into the calculators remain on the device while the application is in use. These apps do not operate a backend service and do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Named projects are stored locally in each application's private storage. Users can delete individual saved projects from within the app. No app in this policy retains a server copy. Device backup, restoration, and removal of application data are controlled by the user's Android device and Google account settings.

Each app offers optional one-time in-app purchases (for example, QuiltMath's Premium and Extra tiers, or KnitMath's Premium unlock). Google Play processes these transactions and provides the application with the product identifier, localized price, and purchase/entitlement status required to buy, unlock, and restore the relevant tier. Purchase history is retained by Google Play so that ownership can be restored. None of these apps has a developer-operated billing server, and Broken Man Studios does not receive or store payment-card or bank-account details. Google processes purchase information under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms of Service.

PDF plans and shareable result images are generated locally. A file leaves the app only when the user deliberately chooses a destination through Android's system print or share sheet. The privacy practices of that chosen destination are governed by its provider.

Permissions and network access

Broken Man Studios apps do not request access to photos, files, contacts, location, camera, or microphone. Network access is used to communicate with Google Play for product information, purchases and restoration. Calculations, saved projects, and PDF/image creation remain local.

Children's privacy

These apps are general-purpose craft utilities and are not designed to collect information from children. They do not knowingly collect personal information from any user.

Changes

If a Broken Man Studios app later adds accounts, analytics, advertising, cloud storage or another feature that changes its data practices, this policy — or a replacement, app-specific policy linked from that app's Google Play listing — will be updated before that version is released, along with the corresponding Google Play Data safety declaration.

Retention and deletion

Broken Man Studios apps do not receive or retain personal data on developer-controlled servers. Locally saved projects remain in application storage until the user deletes them or Android removes the application data. Because no account or developer server copy exists, there is no remote account or personal-data deletion request to process. Google Play retains and manages purchase records under the user's Google account; purchase-history and Google-account requests are managed through Google Play and the user's Google account settings.
